A new company has risen with well-known experts in CBRN protection with over 25 years of experience. Thilo Schuppler has assembled old and new colleagues to develop and deliver customised solutions for CBRN / NBC missions.

DST innovation GmbH was founded in 2021 and is based in 74722 Buchen, about an hour south of Frankfurt.

The purpose of the company is research, development, design, manufacture, sales, marketing, project management, sales, consulting and training of CBRN / NBC systems and equipment, special purpose vehicles, containers, devices and equipment for fire departments, disaster control, aid organizations, police and military forces. We deliver decon agents, spare parts and consumables, furthermore we do inspections, repair and training of NBC vehicles.

The managing director and sole shareholder is Thilo Schuppler, a graduate chemist and NBC defense officer in the German Armed Forces. In civilian professional life since 2008. From 2008 to 2020 in a leading function as CTO CBRN systems at OWR GmbH, then from 2020-2021 as branch manager of the CBRNe division at Schmitz Fire & Rescue GmbH.

The highly experienced employees of DST innovation GmbH are all former members of OWR or Schmitz, which went through insolvency proceedings in 2020/2021. DST innovation GmbH preserved the know-how and has brought the forces to new success.

From small portable equipment to turn-key system integration for complex missions DST covers a large range of decontamination, protection, medical CBRN-protection, hazmat response vehicles, mobile laboratory solutions, NBC-vehicles, protection shelters and containerized solutions.

In the last two years DST innovation GmbH has developed and supplied

-        decontamination containers for fire services

-        containerized decon systems and labs for military applications

-        decontamination containers for a chemical ordnance disposal facility

-        kits and backpacks for tactical decontamination and medical treatment for police and military special forces

-        container and tent-based decontamination facilities for people and wounded for stationing at hospitals

-        NBC-filter and over-pressure systems for containers and tents to protect people from hazards or to insulate infected patients

-        decontamination for people and casualties as an extendable container for a special police unit for use at the European Football Championship 2024

Furthermore, we offer decontamination agents for various applications. We develop and supply for special operations forces as well as mass decontamination units for civil high-visibility events.

Our history in South Korea

Under the flag of OWR, three decon systems were delivered to 119 together with Misan in 2015, followed by several NBC analysing vehicles together with the well-known Korean company EN+. The last NBC vehicles with EN+ were delivered to Korea by Schmitz in 2021.

That is history. DST innovation GmbH is not a successor but is starting a new chapter with a lot of experience.
